Yes — that's exactly what guided day tours solve. Tours run from Bordeaux, Beaune, Paris and the regional cities with transport, cellar visits and tastings included, so nobody stays sober behind the wheel. Trains reach the hub towns, but the domaines themselves sit in villages public transport doesn't serve well.

Half-day tours from the base cities typically run $70–$130; full days with two or three cellar visits and lunch $100–$250. Tastings, entries and the driver are bundled, so day tours compare well against renting a car — especially once someone has to not drink.

A walk through vineyards or barrel cellars, the house's story, and a guided tasting of 3–6 wines. Bordeaux visits are grander and more structured; Burgundy visits are smaller and more personal — sometimes the winemaker pours. Many top domaines only open to guided groups with existing relationships, which is half the value of a good tour.
